South’s superstar Yash’s film KGF-2 is continuously breaking records at the box office. Now KGF-2 has done a world wide business of about Rs 1100 crores in just three weeks i.e. 21 days. Not only this, the Hindi version of the film has also made many records in its name with the earning of about 400 crores.
KGF-2 has also become the third highest grossing film in Hindi, surpassing the lifetime business of Aamir Khan’s Dangal.
Earned around 1100 crores in 21 days
According to reports, KGF-2, made in the budget of Rs 100 crore, made a world wide gross box office collection of Rs 16 crore on the seventh day of the third week i.e. on the 21st day (Wednesday). Earlier, the film did business of 30.67 crores on the sixth day of the third week, 9.24 crores on the fifth day, 29.79 crores on the fourth day, 24.30 crores on the third day, 12.42 crores on the second day and Rs 15.28 crores on the first day.
At the same time, the film did a business of 223.51 crores in the second week and 720.31 crores in the first week. Accordingly, the film has made a world wide gross box office collection of about Rs 1100 crore so far in three weeks i.e. 21 days.
KGF-2 beats RRR
At the same time, KGF-2 has become the fourth highest grossing Indian film worldwide, leaving behind Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar (966.86 crores) and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (969.06 crores). Apart from this, KGF-2 (912 crores) has also overtaken SS Rajamouli’s RRR to become the second highest-grossing film at the Indian box office after Baahubali 2.

Taran Adarsh told that the Hindi version of KGF-2 has earned Rs 8.75 in India on the seventh day of the third week i.e. on the 21st day. Earlier, the Hindi version of the film did business of 9.57 crores on the sixth day of the third week, 3.75 crores on the fifth day, 9.27 crores on the fourth day, 7.25 crores on the third day, 4.25 crores on the second day and Rs 5.68 crores on the first day. At the same time, the film did a business of 98.01 crores in the second week and 255.05 crores in the first week.
Accordingly, the Hindi version of the film has so far earned more than Rs 391.65 crore in three weeks i.e. 21 days. With this, KGF-2 has become the second highest grossing film in Hindi, leaving behind the lifetime business of Aamir Khan’s Dangal (387.38 crores).
The film will soon enter the 400 crore club as well. Taran expects that KGF-2 will also become the first film after Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali-2‘ (511 crores) to cross the 500 crore mark in Hindi.
KGF-2’s OTT rights sold for 320 crores
Meanwhile, news is coming that the OTT rights of KGF-2 have been dealt at a record price. It is being told that the makers have sold the OTT rights of the film to the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video for around Rs 320 crore.
The film will be streamed on the OTT platform from 27 May 2022 in five languages Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. However, no official announcement has been made by the OTT platform and the makers regarding this.
