Indian Railways: Indian Railways is making new efforts in the direction of increasing the railway facilities. In order to provide better facilities to the people in the railway station, the railway department is working on a big action plan. Railways has prepared a blue print for this.
According to the information, a package of Rs 17500 crore has been fixed to increase the facilities in the railway stations. The station will be equipped with rooftop plazas. In which shopping malls, food courts and restaurants will be built. In such a situation, where the railways will get income, the passengers will get many facilities simultaneously.
What is in the blue print of railway
According to the Hindustan News Time, the railway stations have been identified in the blue print of Rs 17500 crore prepared by the Railways. According to the information, 12 shikharas will be prepared on the roof of Somnath railway station. These 12 peaks will represent 12 Jyotirlingas.
Similarly, a big hall will be built at Gaya station of Bihar where pilgrims from abroad reach.
Similarly, Rs 61 crore has been allocated for Kanyakumari railway station, Rs 91 crore for Nellore.
The maximum amount of Rs 960 crores will be given for Prayagraj railway station. After this, Rs 842 crore has been allocated for major railway stations like Chennai.
46 stations will be modernized
Railways has made provision in the budget to modernize 46 railway stations in the first phase. In the supplementary budget for the year 2021-22, Rs.12 hundred crores and in the budget of the year 2022-23 Rs.5500 crores have been approved. In this way, a total of 17500 crores will be spent in modernization.
