The Haryana government had no objection to the name of Bhagat Singh, but had expressed concern over the use of the name for the airport. The terminal of the airport is located in Mohali, Punjab. It is a Rs 485 crore joint project of Airports Authority of India (AAI), Government of Punjab and Haryana. (with agency inputs)
