Sharda Sinha:  Folk singer Sharda Sinha died at the age of 72 at AIIMS on Tuesday night at 9:20. She was ill for several days. She was put on ventilator since last Monday night. An AIIMS official said, ‘Sharda Sinha died at 9:20 pm due to ‘refractory shock’ caused by septicemia.’

Mother is no longer amongst us in physical form.’ Earlier, on Monday night, he had said in a video message that this time his mother is in a lot of trouble. She is on ventilator support. She needs prayers.

Earlier, AIIMS had said in a post on ‘X’ that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly monitoring Sinha’s condition and has prayed for her speedy recovery. Sharda Sinha sang folk songs in Bhojpuri, Maithili and Magahi languages ​​and was also awarded Padma Bhushan. Sinha had multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer) and was put on ventilator after health complications arose.
